Hey iPhone users, check out this Accessibility tips that can help you read emails, text messages, or websites without looking at your screen. (This requires iPhone 4S or later)
I use this feature all the time when I'm riding my bike and want to have my iPhone read an email or an article on a website to me through the speakers or headphones. It's called Speak Selection and it's located in the Accessibility area in Settings.
1. Go into your SETTINGS app > Select GENERAL on the first page
2. Next, scroll down and find the ACCESSIBILITY tab
3. Select ACCESSIBILITY > Notice in the Vision section there is a tab that says Speak Selection, select that tab and turn it ON. A menu will appear with Dialects, which gives the voice different accents (my favorite is Australian English). You can also change the speed of the voice.
4. Now whenever you highlight a text in your web browser or in an email the SPEAK option will appear next to COPY. Press SPEAK and listen to your phone read sweet nothings into your ear. How cool is that?!
